Willie Miller “WM” Carson
Willie M. Carson was born August 7, 1944 to the union of Rev. John W. Carson and Leonia Carson in the state of Mississippi. He was the 9th child of 12 children. He accepted Christ at an early age. He moved to Detroit, Michigan, in 1969 with Ella Carson. To this union, six children were born, Darryl Carson, Dinah Lewis(William), Dwillie Carson(Felicia), Daniella Carson, Dontai Carson, Denesha Carson-Brown(Carl).
Willie attended Mississippi Public Schools. His hobbies included; Fishing, Hunting, Barbequing and taking road trips. He was skilled in Carpentry and fixing on cars. He also enjoyed watching Old Western movies and sports. He liked doing math and drawing maps. He provided excellent driving directions.
Willie was employed at Daimler Chrysler for 30 years until he retired. He later moved back south to Eight Mile, AL. He lived a peaceful life and looked forward to Thanksgiving Holidays. That would be the time his children would visit. He really loved family gatherings and attended most of the early annual Brown-Thomas Family Reunions.
He was proceed in death by his mother, Leonia Carson, Father, Rev. John Carson, three sisters, Mazzie Moore, Easter Carson, Gearldine Stevenson, Five Brothers, William(Bill) Gowins, Willie Gowins, Percy Carson, Jerry Gowins, James O. Carson. He will be greatly missed by many and leave to cherish his memories are his sisters Ethel Seay, Princella Harris and Jane(Mozell) Washington, his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances.
Willie Miller Carson was called home by his savior on August 12, 2021, at 12:32pm, after years of battling illness. He was a great dad that always took care of his family. The Lord is pleased with our father!
